SiamSafe terms of use

1. About these terms

These terms are between SiamEPOS Ltd (company no. 17215576, England & Wales; "we") and the business that creates a SiamSafe account ("you"). By creating an account you agree to them on behalf of your business. If you also use the SiamEPOS till, your SiamEPOS service terms continue to apply to the till.

2. The service and its price

SiamSafe is a digital food-safety record book for kitchens. The daily records are free. If we introduce optional paid features, we will tell you first, and you will never be charged without agreeing. There are no adverts in SiamSafe.

3. Your responsibilities

• Your business remains responsible for food safety and for having a food safety management system based on HACCP principles. SiamSafe helps you record what you do; it does not do the checks for you.
• The temperature limits and checklists in SiamSafe are sensible defaults based on UK guidance. Make sure they suit your kitchen and change them if they don't.
• Enter records honestly and at the time. Keep staff PINs private, and switch staff off when they leave.
• Only add personal data you are entitled to record, and tell your staff that you keep these records (you can point them to our privacy notice).

4. What SiamSafe does not promise

• SiamSafe does not guarantee any food hygiene rating or inspection result.
• SiamSafe is not approved, accredited or endorsed by the Food Standards Agency, any local authority or any inspector.
• Training inside SiamSafe produces an in-house training record. It is not a Level 2 or any other recognised qualification.

5. Records cannot be deleted

To keep your evidence trustworthy, nobody can delete an individual food-safety record, including the owner. A mistake is corrected with a reason; the original stays visible and is shown with the correction. Records added after a manager has signed off a day are labelled as added later.

6. Availability and backups

SiamSafe works offline and backs up when the device is online. We take care to keep the service running and your records safe, but we cannot promise it will always be available or error-free. You can export your records at any time, and we recommend you keep an export.

7. Fair use

Don't misuse SiamSafe: no attempts to access other businesses' data, interfere with the service, or create accounts in bulk. We may suspend an account that does, and we will tell you why.

8. Ending the service

You can close your account at any time (see Delete account). If we ever decide to stop SiamSafe, we will give you at least 30 days' notice and a way to export all your records first.

9. Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. Otherwise, because the service is free, our total liability to you is limited to £100, and we are not liable for loss of profit, business or goodwill, or for losses caused by records that were not made, were made wrongly, or were not exported.

10. Changes and law

We may update these terms; if a change matters, we will tell owners in the app or by email before it applies. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
